Unable to add D365 F&O/SCM tables for sync in Synapse link for dataverse
Starting D365FO version 10.0.39, the SQL row version change tracking license configuration is enabled by default in all new and updated environments. However, it has been noticed that the tables are not available in Dataverse for synapse link configuration or throws some error while trying to add them for syncing. A quick solution is to re-enable the license configruation for Sql row version change tracking.
Note: At the time of writing this document, LCS is still the main platform to manage D365 F&O environments. Please note that the steps to enable/disable maintenance mode will be changed when environment management will move to Power Platform Admin Center.
Put the system in the maintenance mode in LCS
Go to the environment’s page in LCS where you want to enable change tracking and select Maintain -> Enable maintenance mode.
The process will start and it will take few minutes to finish. Wait until the LCS page show the process is finished.
Re-Enable license configuration
In FO environment (with system admin privileges), navigate to System administration -> Setup -> License configuration form.
The ‘Sql row version change tracking’ is enabled by default. We need to re-enable it. Just uncheck it, save it. Then check it again and again save it.
Disable maintenance mode
Navigate to the environment page again and select Maintain –> Disable maintenance mode
It will initiate the LCS process which will take some time. Once finished, the issue of adding synapse link table will be resolved.
